I play every once in a while and dream about what I'd do with the money.  I'd definitely stop reporting.  First, I'd pay off my home and then I'd buy a bunch of property and fix them up and rent them out to people and then just manage all my properties.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

I'd throw 1/2 into my Vanguard account, 1/4 into my short-term savings account, and the rest I'd use to travel the world to Springsteen concerts.  Or maybe I'd hire Stacy & Clinton to style me. Or maybe I'd have a hairdresser come to my house twice a week for a blowout.    Pretty sure I'd still work but who knows!

Retire, buy my kids houses, and move out of the country.

Pay off my house, buy my mom a house, invest in other real estate, sock away two nest eggs for my kids, set up a merit-based charitable foundation, spend more time on writing, travel.

Gotta play to win, though! lol

I'd buy a beautiful home and another vacation home and travel a lot and volunteer for a charity I was passionate about.  Of course, that won't happen because I have never played the lottery.

I don't buy tickets but my husband does.  I'd spend my half of his winnings on the usual stuff:  donations to family, a few favorite charities, paying off bills, a few home improvements, a vacation, new car.  I'd still work (but less).  I like to work and I love my job (most days:).

I'd finally open a business that I've wanted to start forever.  I've been doing this job for 27 years.  I'd love to do something totally different.  If money was no option, what fun I could have opening up a clothing store, traveling to Europe buying new lines of clothes.  So fun!!

Clothes are frustrating for me, but that does sound fun. I can see doing that with jewelry.

Where would your vacation home be, Martha, if you don't mind? Mine would be in the Cotswolds. :)

I don't have a clue where I would buy my house.   Depends if my husband wanted to keep his business or not.    But as long as we are fantasizing, how much is this lotto prize?   If it's over 100 million maybe I can have more than one house!  And an apartment in NYC, a ranch in Montana.

My second dream house would be in New Orleans:)

How so? Where is your first dream house?

Actually, I guess it would be the third house, but the first two in Louisville and Cincinnati aren't quite dreams.

I think the nicest part would be just to pay off all my bills and not owe anything to anyone.  What a nice thought!
