Comment by Christine Swenson on September 13, 2024 at 10:03

Hello, CSRNation!

My name is Christine Swenson. After practicing law for more than 25 years, much of which was in the courtroom, I practiced in multiple state courts, federal court, and U.S. immigration court. In addition, I was a college professor and graded law students' bar exams. With my extensive trial and courtroom experience, I have a deep understanding of what happens both in court and outside of court. My legal experience lends itself well to proofreading transcripts. So I am now applying my knowledge, skills, and experience to transcript proofreading, which I've excelled at for almost two years.

My corrections process is user friendly. I will start with your ASCII file, I'll make my suggested corrections, and I'll return a PDF to you. All of my suggested corrections are searchable, made in-line, and visible in red.

I am reliable, thorough, have an eye for detail, and focus on consistency. I am often available on short notice, and expedites are rarely a problem. My rates and turnaround time are competitive. I'm available to work weekends, and I treat weekends and most holidays as any other day, meaning no up charges.

For first-time clients I am offering to proofread 25 pages at no charge. This is a risk-free way for you to determine whether or not you feel we'd be a good "fit" and for giving me the opportunity to serve you.

For your convenience, I invoice twice a month, the 15th and 30th. Payment is made easily via Venmo (friends/family). This has proved to be the most convenient payment method for both my clients and myself.

I am expanding my roster of clients and have several slots still available, whether you're full time, part time, or only have a one-off here and there.

Please contact me directly at MyProofreader.co@gmail.com, and I will send you my rate sheet and my business policies/practices. I am happy to provide multiple professional references upon request. Feel free to check out my website, www.MyProofreader.co, to learn more.

I look forward to the opportunity of becoming a valuable and dedicated part of your team!

When I proof your transcript it is not just about the words. I look at spacing, format, punctuation and consistency with numbers and number expression.
