I use H-X for history, M-X medical history.  Maybe F-X or FL-X for file history?

How about TPEUFT or TPHREUFT or TP-FT

I love the SKLAT and SKLIRB!!!

Keith ~ I just recently changed my reported to RORPTD and recorded RORTD ~ throwing in the P has gotten rid of the conflict for me :) I still usually do report RORT and record RORD, but now I'm finding myself throw the P in for just plain report sometimes :)

You can do STENTD for extended (extented is not a word). A lot of other words ending in -D you can tuck that -T for past tense also. Main conflict is that pesky recorded/reported.

Some others on the list that i do differently:
customary -- KMAER
credential -- KRERBL
diagnostic -- D-GT
posterior -- POER
designate - DAEGT
empty -- EMT
envy -- VAEN (N-V is my informative)

Most of the others I do the same or almost the same as Nina. Nice list there. Love those "let me" ones also. I'll have to consider that.

permanent - PERMT
maintain - MOIN (I'm playing with MOINS for maintenance instead of MAINS)
implementation - KBLENGS (this is from Mark K. using KB- for imp- words so ...
implement - KBLEMT
exterior - KPR-R; anterior - TR-R; interior - SPWR-R; inferior - FR-R
superior - SPR-R (superb - SPR-B)
posterior - P-R (because my "prosecutor" from school is PR-R)
ulterior - UL/TR-R (sorry, two stokes!)

extend - STEND (so I have to come back for final -D for extended)
extent - STENT
I guess you could add an * for -ed.

I've been trying to use STK- for dis-, des-, words now. But I saw "disturb" starting with ST- first, so I have both ways in my dictionary:
disturb - STURB; disturbance STURNS
disturbing the peace - STPAES
destroyed - SDROID
discriminate - SDRIM; discriminant - SDRIN
disciplinary - SDPLAIR; disciplinarian - SDPLAIRN
designate - SDEGT (or SDEG)

I use *IFM for -ism, but I also incorporate consonants if I have to.
"Criticism" is two strokes for me KRIT/S*IFM. But you could try KR*IFM.

credential - KRENL
covenant - KOVNT
customary - KUFM/MA*IR (got me again! So, custom is KUFM. You could try KAIFM for customary)

diagnosis - D-SZ
diagnose - D-GS
diagnostic - D-K (or D-GS/-IK)

These are fun:
empty - M-T
envy - N*F

I also like MOIM for male, FOIM for female, and VOIN for vagina.

Hope you can use some of these!!

Okay, Nina, because you have great suggestions, I compiled a list from my dictionary where I have a boatload of entries for these so if you have one-stroke suggestion for these I would sure welcome them!
permanent, maintain, implementation, exterior, extended, disturbance, destroy/ed, discriminate, discrepancy, depreciate, criticism, credential, covenant, customary, diagnosis, diagnose, diagnostic, discplinary, designate.
Boy, you can tell I've been around for a while as we weren't taught good briefs 20 years ago!! Thanks for anyone's help!
