Well, I applied to the Federal Court for a pro tem position, and I have been hired. I'm very excited.

What does this mean? Well, probably not that big a deal. I will only be filling in if they need coverage for a regular reporter. But we'll have to see how it goes.

I plan on continuing to freelance with the agencies that I usually work for. But this will be an opportunity to look at freelance v. court from a first-hand perspective. I'll share my experiences if you're interested. Probably even if you're not interested.

There's a couple of reporters on another board that are Federal reporters and they LOVE it. Sounds like they're sorry they didn't make the move sooner. Gee, if you get an officialship, B-E-N-E-F-I-T-S!!!

Hey Kyung, I'm a federal reporter here in New York City, and if you need help with anything let me know. Congratulations on getting the position.

You'll do fine. Some women from my school were working in Federal Court when they were in qualifiers. You're an experienced reporter!

I haven't worked in Federal Court. From those who have, I've heard it's very controlled, more so than in state courts. I also heard the material is interesting. The other thing I was told is it's like the hardest lit material you ever did in school.
