BUP is great!   I love the simple ones.

Oh, and a couple others I have had for a while but also come up frequently in computer cases:

platform = PLAFM

computer = KPAORT (of course I'm sure everyone has one for this)

voicemail = VOIM

email = AOEM

Oh, Brenda, I like yours even better.  Both of those words were coming up in my job today.  It's all about computer programming and where files and subdirectories are, beneath or underneath this folder or that, etc.

Anyway, I came up with a couple of briefs while writing this job the last couple of days.  One I had before, but it came up so much today I remembered it.

backup = BUP

directory = DRI

directories = DRIS

subdirectory = SIBD

subdirectory = SIBDZ

file folder = FAOEURLD

AS400 = SFRUN (comes up in almost every computer case I do)

I use NAO*ET for underneath and BAO*ET for beneath

How about JEAT then?

Comment by Naola "Sam" Vaughn on June 16, 2011 at 18:13

I like the YAO*ET, although I use the J for prefixes and Y for suffixes because it was easier for me to thing J is first in the alphabet and Y is last.

I do the same thing with the Y, LeAnne.  I use it when I don't want to use the asterisk also.  I write YAD and YADZ for ad and ads. I started using it with JOUT and YOUT and kept on going from there.  :)

underneath - YAO*ET  I use Y for my prefixes and it's the only way I could figure out how to write this word and make a little bit of sense.

Keith, I use TANT for tenant.

And, Kelli, I hear ya.  I butcher everything.  Dragging the -g and -s are definitely common for me at fast speeds.  I do sometimes change or get rid of things because I just can't stroke them properly most of the time.
