Welcome to CSR Nation
Anyone heard this? I'm trying to find a moment to call someone at LiveNote and see if this is true. That would be so great, if it's possible.Continue

Comment by Naola "Sam" Vaughn on December 4, 2012 at 10:20 I have 3 Stenocast blue EZ receivers (Ver 5) that I am selling. You can send them in to have them reprogrammed to work with your Stenocast box.
Comment by Janet on September 29, 2012 at 12:24 Does the Judge's computer have a CD drive? If so, the drivers should be on a CD that came with your Me2U. If not, you can copy the drivers onto a USB stick and install them on the Judge's computer that way.
Comment by Celeste Ramsey on September 29, 2012 at 12:22 Now I just have to find the online manual and figure out the hook up and the settings for Stenocast. I wonder why they didn't include that in the package?
Comment by Celeste Ramsey on September 29, 2012 at 12:05 Thank you, Lori! I'm averaging about a 98.2 and really need to clean up my dictionary some more. I do try very hard to write real time every time. 99.5 is a noble goal. I think we do have an advantage at knowing what we know that we would amaze at 95% lol, but certainly, not good enough for all of us who care. I would love to get more all-day jobs or multi-days, haven't had the pleasure yet, but did get lucky and got to do a couple of court trials. Need to figure out how to hook up the judge.
Comment by Lori Byrd Buckner on September 29, 2012 at 11:58 Congratulations on your great intentions! We need new up-and-coming realtime reporters to keep this profession a "profession." My suggestion is always write realtime from your steno to your laptop, and when you get to a percentage that is readable all the time by the attorneys (I think I may be a little too adamant about 99.5+ percent, but that's up for opinion) start doing some free half-day or first-day realtime out put to clients, especially when you have multi-day jobs ... get 'em hooked, and ask them for feedback ... JUST DO IT. Thanks so much for keeping the hope alive for the court reporting professoin.
Comment by Celeste Ramsey on September 29, 2012 at 10:08 Hi new to the group. I am interested in getting started in real time. I've been reporting for about 1 1/2 years and use a real time, conflict-free theory. I have recently purchased my Stenocast, Me2U and want to start practicing. I don't have the funds yet to involved myself in formal training, but my goal, ultimately, is to get my CRR. I'm going to try and hook it up this weekend and see if I can get it up and running. Any thoughts for direction?
Comment by Janet on June 20, 2012 at 18:16 I shipped the EZ Send back to Stenocast for the upgrade. Can anyone tell me how it is working with Eclipse now? I heard some reporters were still having trouble even after sending it back in for an upgrade. Anything new?
Comment by karen harper on June 20, 2012 at 15:49 I bought a StenoCast Edge for $1,200. Nothing but problems. Back to cables because now it doesn't even work. They said if I wanted to pay to have it shipped to them for a "fee" they might be able to see what is wrong with it. Other than the Edge is discontinued and they no longer make them. Very frustrated with the entire StenoCast experience. They said it might be software, might be this, might be that. I'm starting to think it's them.
Comment by Lynn Brooks on June 5, 2012 at 15:20 Thanks for all the info.
Comment by Naola "Sam" Vaughn on June 5, 2012 at 12:53 It may depend on the version of the blue receiver as to whether there's a straight trade. I would call Stenocast and find out.
