Hi, I had the weirdest thing happen the other day. I was outputting to a Mac that has something called Transcription Pro or something close to that on it instead of LiveNote. I was told to use the CC output, which I did. All was fine for a few pages, and then I got the Blue Screen of Death on my computer, which I've NEVER gotten with this computer. I was so shocked! Of course I stopped and rebooted and started up again, and the settings for the RT had gone back to LiveNote, which I had used the last time I did RT. Went along for 10 or 20 pages, then boom, same thing! I just kept on writing and managed to start up a new file again, reset the settings, etc., in between Q&A's. You know the story, it died again. This time I gave up and told him I'd send a rough later. I was using cables with a Belkin serial to USB adapter on my end and he had one on his end too. I've done it before with no problem. Could it be because he has a Mac? Eclipse tried to tell me it's from my Norton 360, but I always turn that off and never had a problem before. Any ideas? The thing hasn't crashed once since then, although I did do a disk cleanup and defrag that night.

What writer do you use?

I mostly use the Express Card and before that with an older laptop the PCMCIA card - seems to work better than USB cables on the reporter end.

Hopefully someone with Mac experience will give you some insight! :-)
Wow, that was fast! I'm using a Mira, the latest one -- is that the G2? I don't know. And since I'm using my netbook, it's all USB cables. Thanks.
Everyone that I know that gets a blue screen sooner or later figures out it's a driver issue. I have never heard of someone's receive laptop causing problems like that. I'd bet it's your serial USB. Did you know that you can connect your Mira directly to the netbook with a USB and not use the Belkin? There is a setting in the Input tab for it. Give that a try next time you have a realtime job.
