Yes, I had a really fast school principal on Monday. There was no slowing him down, though, but I sure tried. I had warmed up with Mark's ludicrous-speed Q&A on Magnumsteno. Then on some 200, 225 and 240's. The 200 and 225 were gettable, but the 240 was a challenge. Some of them I aced, but other sections were denser. Clay, Congrats!!!!!

Woweecazowie!! I'm so proud of you. You are both amazing. Great job. That is an unbelievable pass rate. Will he be joining you at Southwest? Covering some depos -- hint, hint? I'm sure I'll be talking to you soon, that is when you come down from the clouds :)

Go to your settings in the box in the upper right-hand corner, then hit on "email" and then all these boxes will appear.  Make sure the box that says something like "email me when someone joins my groups."    Can't remember the exact wording.  Anyways, make sure that box is NOT checked.   Also look through all those boxes and make sure you have check marks only where you want them.

Thanks! It was awesome - I got so many greetings on FB and a couple here, both on target and belated (I love the belated ones because it streches the birthday cheer just a wee bit longer!).

The only bummer Is that my laptop finally bit the dust and I had to order a new one, which will be here in early November. Things are going well (or were!) as far as steno goes - I'm writing Mark's theory pretty comfortably in the 100 to 130 range now, am starting to pass tests and will be kicking things into high gear pretty soon. I want to be writing close to where I was by the turn of the year (180 to 200) so I can be really ready for the May RPR. It is SO weird to be writing so much in so few strokes - I still can't believe it!! I have to teach my ear to be more patient so I can hear those juicy phrases!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Diamante. Highly recommended!

Check your email, but do so with some time on your hands. Oh, and ignore the typos, it's late. Also, I think I said "dictation" room when I meant "transcription" room, while describing his setting up the night before.
