Welcome to CSR Nation
Happy New Year, Joanna!
I sold the other microphone, but I have this SoundProfessionals usb microphone with retractable extention cable if you're interested. I bought it a few years ago at an Anita Paul seminar. I paid around $75 or so for it. It, too, is a plug-and-play, no batteries. I went on SP website, and the closest one to it is this model: PART#: SP-USB-MIC-MODEL-2.
It has an internal sound card as well. It worked great & it's still working. I don't know if you read my previous posts, but I went through several microphones only to determine it was my laptop causing the problems.
My laptop was an older Toshiba. If you plan on using it on an older laptop, you may not have to change any settings due to it being a plug-and-play; however, I've noticed with my newer laptops, you have to go in and change the default settings to bypass the computer's recording system/microphone. I'm not a techie, so I can't guide you, but I'm sure it's simple.
Let me know if you're interested. It's been sitting in a drawer for a couple of years. You can make me an offer....
Have a great New Year's Day!
Michele
