help with spelling

Has anyone heard of "co-codone"? I have a witness who keeps saying he's taking "co-codone" all with the long O sound -- like KO-KO-DONE. Google keeps saying "did you mean co-codeine," which then doesn't have any definition for that anyway. But witness is definitely pronouncing it with long O's -- not KO-DEEN. Anyway, any help out there? Thanks

When witnesses make sound effects, what do you do?

Just trying to get some advice. I've been reporting for many years now, but I've always wondered what to do when witnesses make sound effects. You know, as an example, "Yeah. I was traveling down the road and the car just went right through the center divide" and then the witness made this crunching, banging noise! I'm thinking I should put some kind of blurb in parenthesis, i.e., (witness makes sound) or (unintelligible) or something to indiciate that he made a sound effect, you know? Any… Continue

Keep up the great advice, Melissa. I read your post over on Marina's page. I, too, made it out in two years by pushing. I don't think there's any such thing as "shattering one's notes."

When you get down to a slow speed, who can't write clean??

Mark Kislingbury has been getting the word out. A lot of us already knew this worked. Just nice to have the Guinness World Book Record Holder for speed preaching the same sermon.
