So, Sage, huh? Is that a private or public school? Well, since Sharla has been your friend and confidante, I know you're in good hands. Will you be attending the DRA convention tomorrow? Are you a member of DRA or CCRA or NCRA?
Well, Hello, My Dear;
How are you. Congratulations on your newest accomplishment. You must have been great. I am a mentor and my mentee also passed. Welcome to our profession. I'm sure you'll do well. I target the students on this site and am an advisor. Sorry I missed you, but I see you didn't need me. I'm proud of you. Come to my site and read up all about me. I have many stories told and looking to help others. What school did you go to? Once again, congratulations. You haven't been on here too long and I found you already. Fancy that!
Yeah, let's have some fun with it! Check out Stenoray's page. She's ultra competitive!

Have you read some Magnum Steno posts here yet? I haven't done the club. I won't until my elbows get completely better from years of abuse! Take your breaks!!!
I do read all the posts, though. Very inspiring!
Yes, this is a hard job, but it can be a good one.
I wish I could say business is booming here in Northern CA, but it's been slow for a year now. Still, there are jobs out there. I haven't been as aggressive at marketing as I could be. If you're willing to report the "less desirable" jobs like hearings and such, maybe you'd be kept busy.
Great news about your marriage! As long as you don't put off the RPR for too long. I do know when you're new at reporting, the next best thing to experience, is having those RPR and CRR initials behind your name. It's so much easier to get them when you're fresh out of school! I speak from experience.
Sometimes my tiny firm (me, my sister and brother) needs a reporter to do a depo for us. I always ask, "Are you an RPR? Planning on taking the CRR soon? Aiming on taking the RMR?" Speed is so crucial in this business. The three of us all had our CM (RMR) right out of school. We've always said, "How can anybody report if they're not doing 260 wpm???"
But I'm not trying to discourage you. Yes, you have audio now. We sure didn't! Make it easy on yourself. Keep up with your speed building. You've sure come to the right site for encouragement and advice! Make sure you join the Magnum Steno group here. Just read the posts. You don't have to dive in right now.
Please let me know how you're doing from time to time!
Hi! I can't help you with a resume - I don't have one myself - but Marge Teilhaber has an excellent website that may give you some ideas:

Good luck with your new career! Are you thinking about going for the RPR in November???
