CONGRATULATIONS on your decision to become a future court reporter! I'm on the same boat as you! :) What speed are you currently in? I'm at 160 wpm, and I'm striving to finish by next year! I go to school full-time and work part-time.
I'm always interested in connecting with other court reporting students to encourage, vent, get practicing tips, share new briefs, etc. with. I even have a blog up about my court reporting journey that hopefully also really helps fellow court reporting students, too. Please check it out when you have the time -- www.stenonerd.blogspot.com.
That's great that you've joined the Court Reporting Students Group on this site. I would also encourage you to join the Encouraging Court Reporting Students Group on Facebook if you have an account there, too. It's a really active group with lots of awesome info for us court reporting students!
GOOD LUCK with school... and see you at the finish line! :)
Hello, Rebecca, welcome to CSR nation. I too am a court reporting student. I been in school a little over two years. I am currently in the last speed. You are going to love court reporting school. I practiced every day since the beginning. Practicing is the key to your success in school. The school is most definitely a challenge, but it is well worth it in the end. You can write to me if you have any questions.
