In the late 1900's....sound funny to anybody else?

Boy, while I was trying to fix my link on previous post I spotted something in the Dogpile article I didn't pick up on the first time around.....

What Is Dogpile and What Does It Do?

In the late 1900's, Dogpile was one of a handful of new search engines that differed significantly from all of the competitors of the day. Dogpile takes a different approach to finding requested search information.

I don't know about anybody else but that little phrase sure… Continue

Any other "Dogpile" Lovers on CSR Nation?

Well, I queried on CSR Nation to find a few other mentions of my favorite search engine, Dogpile, which is (in case you haven't heard of it before) a metasearch engine that searches Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc. and brings back the best results from ALL of these!

And, no, it's not some stinky mess or whatever like I know several people have thought when I mentioned its name..........… Continue

Tiny Hero Steers Mom to Safe Stop

I imagine she felt a lot like the blind man in the picture. Click here to see… Continue

International Literacy Day

I received an e-mail from Blog Catalog today informing me of the upcoming International Literacy Day on September 8th and giving me the opportunity to unite with other bloggers to support this important day.

I wanted to pass this information along as I have personally worked with someone who was held back on his job and providing for his family due to his inability to read the necessary paperwork and forms required for a promotion. Plus, I thought that we, as wordsmiths, particularly… Continue

Cajun French Music Association, plus

I went to the Baton Rouge CFMA's dance this past Friday with my Supper Club Meetup Group and we had a really good time.

The band, Briggs Brown & the Bayou Cajuns, was headed up by a 15-year old accordion player that's been playing for… Continue

TECH QUESTION: "If a popcorn kernel trapped between the cpu fan and the processor pops....

what damage could it have caused? I don't know how it got there."

This thought-provoking question was sent to my online computer expert, Leo Notenboom at Ask Leo, and he passed it on in his weekly e-mail letter. I couldn't resist passing it along here.

TECH ANSWER: (from Leo) "What's funny is that this could happen, and the kernel could absolutely pop at some point -… Continue
