Full time Scoping

I don't know if anyone else does this full time, but I do. I thought it was a curse when my former boss sat me down around 8 months ago and said, "We're very sorry, but we have to let you go." My heart sank. I poured my heart and soul into that business for 16 years. Now what was I going to do. I had a wife at home, two small children, a hefty mortgage payment for a house in the suburbs on Long Island. It was the end of the road.

Hey John...I do this full-time and have been for going on three years with my own business....although, i have been a scopist for going on 20 years..i went to work for one reporter after doing two and a half years at CR school....but that wasn't cutting it..so i went to work as a paralegal/legal secretary and i talked to a friend that i was in CR school with who is an official court reporter and she asked me to do work for her as well as hooked me up with different websites to post ads allowing me to pursue my business...i have been able to do full-time scoping for the past three years...i love it!!...i work with reporters from about six different states...they are all great!! anyway, just wanted to let you know that pursuing scoping as a full-time job is a lot of work but it is worth it in the long run!! Oh man, I am sorry to hear that, what happened since? I am hoping that Scoping is helping you make a living?
Your blog left me wanting to know more.

I hope you are doing ok and i hope this site helps you guys connect and get more work.
All I hear from reporters is how badly they want to find a scopist that matches them. now, all we have to do is match scopists with court reporters and everybody is happy.
God, I hope it helps you guys get more work.
