I actually did great. I passed all my test so I'm ready to work now. Ya hooo! What was your first move when you first graduated. I've prepared my resume but I've been so busy, I haven't actually gotten around to deliver them to other firms. Delete Comment

Well, I certainly am not proud to scream this from the rooftops, but I worked with Official. They have new owners now. From what I hear, they are really trying to clean up their reputation. I only did freelance for about a year, so I didn't meet a lot of the other reporters. I pretty much kept to myself in my courtroom because Judge Soto and I became such close friends.

I have seen that job opening!! Do you remember Cathy Rundell-Clunk? She worked with Judge Murphy. Anyway, she told me about that position in federal. That would be a nice gig. Unfortunately, I was super lazy and comfy and have never even sat for the RPR!! Now that I am in the real world of court reporting, I can certainly see the need for it, and I would really like to be back in a one judge/one courtroom setting.

My friend worked with Sigler for a year. Her name is Sherri. (from Oklahoma) Do you remember the attorney Si Gaer? Really old, really verbose, really quiet voice???

Which firm are you with now?

Hey, Stephanie. I read that you worked in criminal court in Miami a few years ago?? I worked for Judge Soto for four years. Which judge did you work with, which firm? I miss South Florida SO much, especially the zoo in the Gerstein building!

Stephanie,
I work with a firm, US Legal Support in West Palm Beach. They are a terrific firm and I love it there. We are just coming off of spring break and it is busy already. If you have any questions, I'm here.

Hi, I'm Dawn by the way. Thank you for the comment. How long did you live in NY? Right now I'm only at 100 but I'm practicing every day.

Northern VA. I didn't like it out there, so I had to come back home. Have you always been a freelance reporter? I'm a student.

Hi, Stephaine,

Just wanted to say hello to another sista. I lived in Washington/North Virginia. It was okay, too cold for me.

Hi Aarika,
Thanks for making contact. How long have you been scoping? What english guides do you use and what are your rates? I am always looking for a scopist whether it be full time, part time, overflow, emergency or whatever. Where did you go to school?

Hi Stephanie,
Thought I would just pop over here and "meet" some new people!! I went to CR school for 3 years, but then changed my major to scoping. Please let me know if there is anything you need! I'm also on Case CATalyst.

I was an official for about 10 years and was laid off due to tape recorders. Unfortunately, I was forced into the freelance world which I hate but it's a living. They're talking about hiring back in court so I'm crossing my fingers!

Hello, Stephanie,
How are you? So, you'd like to connect with other court reporters, huh? May I have the honor of being one of them? You can read about me in my bio and let me know, okay? I, too, want to hook up with others, but first at least most all of my brothers & sisters....kapeesh? Anyhow, I got you from Myscilyn and hope you or she doesn't mind. Waiting to hear from you, I remain, Michael

Hi Stephanie,
No. Always lived in New Jersey. I love your dog! He has such a cute face. I have a yellow Lab and a Cairn terrier. They get along great. Lab is so gentle. Cairn is a little toughy. Thinks she's a big dog in a little body. Very affectionate.

Talk again soon
