Superior Court Officials, What's going on out there?

We all know that California and many states are going through budget crises. We see the headlines on the side of the front page, furloughs, replacement by er. It suddenly dawned on me, we have a bunch of official reporters on this site who work for the Superior Courts all across the US.

Tell us what's going on? How are you being impacted? Are the furloughs being implemented? How are the state budget crises affecting you. Tell us your story? Is it as bad as we think, or is there some hope?

I know in Los Angeles Superior there's talk of people being laid off this fall. Any update on that situation?

Interesting, Trina! Your county should lend San Diego money so they can get me working. I was hired as a pro tem and then told that they don't know when I can start! I'm still waiting..............................
Woo-Hooo!!!

I had no idea we get to take a furlough day off. Guess since I've been out for a couple weeks I missed the news.

Do we get one twice a month, Trina, or just once??
Gosh, at least they could do it on a Friday so you could get three-day weekends.

Hi, Tami!

Hi, Trina!

Haven't seen you guys for a while.
Hi, Judy!! I've missed you!!

Sounds like I need to take that Friday off every month. :)
I just want to thank Kyung for keeping the dialogue fresh. Your posts and enthusiasm for the profession keep all of us in a positive professional space!
