Any TV shows or movies you can recommend?

Well, work is winding down so I'm actually having some time to watch TV at night.  Last night I started watching Downton Abbey.  It's a series that is currently on PBS.  I think it's in season 3 on TV.  I am starting from episode 1 and streaming it on Netflix.  OMG, it's really good.  It's a total thumbs up.  How about you?  Have you seen anything you would like to share?

My new summer favorite TV show, "Wedding Island" on TLC.  How does Sandy do it?  I thought the court reporting business was stressful.  I think the wedding business might have more stress.

I love "Justified."  i started what I call binge watching that.  I'm on season four already!  I love the sexy gangster hillbilly Boyd Crowder.  I'm currently obsessed with that.  Another really good one is "Suits."

Yes, I see "Suits" advertised.  I am going to get the disks from Netflix and start watching that.  It looks good.

AFA movies, I rec Master and Commander: Far Side of the World.  This is a good one to put on late and fall asleep to.  You wake up in the morning to the menu, which is the very soothing sound of water gently sloshing against the ship and of a distant bell (nice visual, too).

Damages is one of the BEST drama series I've ever seen.  I got seasons 1-4 when I had Direct TV.  It was originally an FX show and then Direct TV bought it for season 4.   I just bought season 5, all ten episodes from Amazon Prime and downloaded it to my TV.  It's not available "streaming" on Prime.  Netflex has it on DVD but there's a LONG, LONG wait for it.  It just released on the 17th.  The whole 10 episodes were $16 but it is one of my favorite all time shows.  Legal drama with Glen Close.  It's her best work ever.

I love that show too.  I can't wait to see the final season.  I do not have Direct TV so will have to see it on disk.  I agree it is some of the best work Glen Close has ever done.   Great show.

I couldn't wait for Netflex.   It would be about 3 or 4 months to get Disk 1 so I just bought it on Amazon Prime for $16.  It's the best season yet, I think.

I'm going to check out Justified and Suits.  I've watched all seasons of the other shows I watch.  Sons of Anarchy is starting in September again.  I'm looking forward to that.

I just looked and saw that Justified and Suits are unavailable for streaming from Netflix.  Are they new shows?

If you can, you might want to check out "The Newsroom," though.  The show runner is Aaron Sorkin, the same guy that created "The West Wing."

Really liked "The East."  It's intrigue and espionage.  Played at independent theaters and may be gone, so look for it to come out on Netflix because it was really good.

Also went back and watched Despicable Me because I wanted to see the new one with out grandson.  It was very cute for adults as well as children.  I don't always liked animated films, but I can recommend this one.

I had to purchased Justified on Netflix....  25 bucks a season.  So good.  If you think about what you spend at the movies, seems justified, ha ha....  I really like it... I think with Amazon prime, there's a whole bunch more you can stream for free.  It seems like there's better TV series anymore than at the movies!
