Well, work is winding down so I'm actually having some time to watch TV at night.  Last night I started watching Downton Abbey.  It's a series that is currently on PBS.  I think it's in season 3 on TV.  I am starting from episode 1 and streaming it on Netflix.  OMG, it's really good.  It's a total thumbs up.  How about you?  Have you seen anything you would like to share?

I watch 3 netflix series.

The Fall with Gillian Anderson..she's a detective trying to solve a serial killer case, set in Northern Ireland(FYI, the killer is Jamie Dornan..the guy that is in 50 shades of gray)

The Killing another female homicide detective on the case of a murdered high school girl set in Seattle.  two good strong female lead series.

Then another one called Peaky Blinders with Cillian Murphy and Sam Neill, Peaky BLinders is a family(gang) set in Post WW1, Birmingham England...Cillian Murphy is the head of the family/gang...very gritty, and sometimes hard to understand dialogue because of thick accents

Hi, Stephanie,

I saw a good series on Netflix.  It was called "Happy Valley."  It's a crime series with a female lead.  It's set in Britain and it's a little hard to understand b/c they have thick accents but the acting is great.

I'll check it out, thanks, because I"m almost finished with The Killing

Stefanie, how do you like The Fall?  I noticed that on Netflix and thought I would give it a try.

I have started to watch House of Cards.  I get busy and then I forget what's going on and I have to start over, LOL.  I agree it is a good show.  Great actors and great writing.

I'm with you on Madam Secretary.  I've always liked Tea Leoni

I just watched the movie "Chef."  It's an okay movie.  I don't have a strong feeling about it either way.

I do like The Fall, Janice.  Check it out.  And Same feeling about Chef..John Favareu's character wasn't really likeable.

Over Xmas break, my kids got me hooked on a phone app called Quiz Up.  You play people all over the world on any topic you can think of or I can challenge  my kids or friends to a match

That Chef Ramsey was on the other night - a new show, Top Chef, Junior.  Kids (age 12, 11, and one 8) cooking incredible dinners.  It was unbelievable.  They asked one boy (who won and didn't have to cook the next round) why he cooked, and he said, "My parents like my cooking."

Last night I happened to catch "Mel Brooks at the Geffen."  It is Mel Brooks on a stage telling stories about his life and career.  I LOVED it.  I did not want it to end.  It was on HBO so if you have HBO on demand, hopefully you can pull it up and watch it.  He had me laughing the whole time.  He has a great sense of humor.

For all you Breaking Bad fans, Better Call Saul, a spin-off to Breaking Bad begins this Monday 2/9/2015.  The premier is Monday and Tuesday night.  I saw a teaser and I think it looks to be a winner.

Oh, I can't wait.  I got my mom into Breaking Bad and she told me there's a spin-off coming.  She loved the Saul character.  I better Tivo it.  Thanks for reminding me.

Sure hope it's good.
