ProCat Stylus writer for sale. This is the newest model with the flip-up LCD screen. It has never been used and is in perfect condition. I have opened the box, looked at all the stuff inside, turned it on and wrote a sentence to make sure it works, and that is it. It came with the ribbon cartridge installed, and I took that out to protect and keep the inside clean.

All items that come with original writer are included: Bluetooth adapter, USB cable, tripod, USB card reader/writer, installation CD, user’s manual, paper tray, ribbon cartridge, soft carrying case, 512 MB compact flash card, 256 MB SD card, realtime cable, two stylus pens for LCD screen, key adjusting tool, battery, and charger.

I am asking $4,100 for the writer o.b.o. Just to reiterate, this is a brand new writer in perfect condition, has never been used, has never left my house.

I thought I'd mention that if you lease this brand new through ProCat, it's going to cost $6,900 when you're done making payments. My machine is brand new; so this is a great bargain!

Email me at mytwins@cox.net with any questions. Thanks!

It was an impulse buy I made last summer while being impatient for the Passport to come out. By the time I got it a month later, I had already wished I didn't buy it. Then I got so busy with work and let the 10-day return period go by without sending it back, and now I have it. And I am so fickle that now I'm thinking about the Lightspeed instead! This time I'm waiting to make sure I really want it.

I have nothing bad to say about the Stylus because I never used it to say either way. I hear a lot of good things about it.
Hi Lisa ~ I am interested ~ I was just about to call a ProCat rep. this week when I talked with a friend who just bought the LightSpeed at the DRA convention. Now I want to try that out too. Have you tried it yet? Decisions, decisions!! I've been on the Flash writer since '95 and never have had any problems ~ that's why I was going to get the Stylus. I'm hopefully meeting w/ my friend and her new LS next week. So I can go from there. Good luck. If I don't like the LS and you haven't sold your machine, I'll be back:)

Stacy, I've been using the Flash since '95 also! I was determined to get the Passport but I'm growing impatient and bought the Stylus. An expensive impulse that I regretted because I knew I'd want the Passport when it finally came out. The past two months I've been seriously looking at the Lightspeed, but this time I am moving much slower. I haven't been able to try it out yet, which is why I haven't bought it. I really want to cut down on the weight I carry around as well. I won't make a decision on which writer until I sell this Stylus.
That's why I'm interested in the LS too ~ less weight AND, from what I've been reading, less muscle fatigue and strain!! Pluses for sure. Is the Passport the Advantage Software machine? I haven't looked at that one at all? I'm assuming from your wording that it's "in the works":)
Hi Jennifer, yes, I still have it! It doesn't have any wide keys on it. My email is mytwins@cox.net. I can give you any other information you'd like.

Lisa
Oh, no! Cancelled??

If you want to do the wide keys yourself, order them from Steno Doctor at $25 a set.
The price on this writer has been reduced to $3,500. It's still available.
