Eclipse scopist, anyone?

I've tried searching for Eclipse scopists on this site and I keep getting "no members match my search criteria" but I know darn well this web site is loaded with scopers. So here I am putting out a blog hoping to get some hits. I need a reliable Eclipse scopist to work with. I a working reporter, micro agency owner, who is just too busy to scope my stuff anymore. Waayyy to overwhelmed. I have one scopist that I currently work with but she has other reporters who keep her pretty well busy so… Continue

Citing the witness

Can anybody help me out with the proper wording to use when the reporter must "cite the witness"? I remember this from court reporting school about 12 years ago, but it's vague in my mind since I've never had to do it. Well, I've just been given a heads up that my questioning attorney may want to "cite" her witness tomorrow. Help!

Hello, Deborah!
Just wondering if you have purchased a LightSpeed writer yet. Mine is still for sale and I am willing to negotiate with you. And I will at least meet the price of the other one that you saw.
Thanks! I hope that all is well!

Hi Deborah!

I just got back in town, so my apologies on not writing back sooner. Yes, it has been unhistorically slow for most it seems. It's been slower than usual for me and a large number of Court Reporters I've worked with have said it's been slow for them as well. We'll all just keep hangn' in, keep networking (I missed the mixer Marla Williams coordinates, but I intend on going next time), and keep our fingers, eyeballs, legs and toes crossed that this slow patch passes quickly, and we all start working again... a lot!

And I hope I get to work with you again on one of those great jobs coming our way soon, you were great to work with!

ttfn,

Ah, you're great and you know it. I went through a rough patch about 12 years ago, after coming back into the States after being gone a long time, so my answer to that was to walk around and say, Damn, I'm so good, I amaze myself. It was a joke, really, but people said, Gosh, she's so confident . . . and then I got more work than I could handle. Of course, I've got one of *those* personalities, boisterous and, well . . . me-ish.

Personally I love med mal. I've heard some very interesting stuff over the years, and learned quite a bit. I swear I'm going to name my newest dog Bony Crepitus (I love American Bulldogs, and if you're a bad guy and run into one, that's the medical condition you'll be in . . .)

Anyway, I know about being "slow" because I'm the sole support of my family right now and it's been slow these last few weeks, so I'm grateful for anything I can get.

Call up your clients and see if you can't get some work from them; the worst they're going to say is no. . .

TTYL, and nice meeting you!
