Need suggestions on how-to book on dog training

Hey, as some of you know I adopted a rescue puppy back in November.  His name is Buddy and I love him to pieces.  I think he has some Jack Russell Terrier in him so he is very strong willed.

He is very smart.  I'm working on training him and I need a good book to guide me.  Please offer any ideas you have.  

He is crate trained.  He can sit.  I want to train him to stay.  That is my next goal.

I tried going to a class but with my work schedule that did not work very well b/c my job would go late and I couldn't make it or I would have a rush and I had to work on my transcript.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Buddy is doing great.  I'm just wanting to train him a little more.

I have used the book Dog Perfect by Sarah Hodgson.  You can get it on Amazon.  It still takes time and consistency, but it has paid off with my dogs.  I followed the techniques with one of my dogs for just two weeks, and he was listening to me after ignoring me for two years prior.
