New Group for Members on the Gulf Coast

Why do you need a transcript proofreader?

Because your time is valuable. Time you're spending poring over the same pages again and again could be better spent A) finding more paying jobs and making more money, B) hanging out with your friends and family, or C) just relaxing with a glass of wine and an episode (or 12) of The Office. Whatever floats your boat.

I help make your time go further without sacrificing what's important to you. With my help, you will have clean, accurate, timely transcripts without the headache.

Visit starlighteditorial.com for more information, or shoot me an email at chelsea@starlighteditorial.com to book a job today.

Take back your free time. Hire a proofreader.

Hi Chelsea! I'm trying to get the hang of this website. It's always nice having a fellow buddy in the same vacinity of the country. I'm from a small town in southeast Texas. I'm really close to the gulf -- about 45 mins away actually!

That sounds great.  My email is sbarringer@sbcglobal.net if you would rather just email me instead.  How long have you been reporting?  And how long have you been a reader???

Vincent Prewitt replied to Chelsea Adams's discussion What makes for "rough" scoping? in the group Case CATalyst Scopists
"Well, with my experience, a transcript will grow naturally because you have to get the formatting correct (while of course sticking with a reporter's preferences). The reporters I've worked with in the past I've had to add colloquy,…"

Chelsea Adams replied to Chelsea Adams's discussion What makes for "rough" scoping? in the group Case CATalyst Scopists
"Thanks! Good to know. I've asked the two clients I've been working with, but I'll ask you, as well: If a transcript grows considerably, how do you charge for that? If you get it at 30 pages and it goes up to 35, is that a lot? Or up…"

Vincent Prewitt replied to Chelsea Adams's discussion What makes for "rough" scoping? in the group Case CATalyst Scopists
"I would say if there is a truckload of untranslates and mistranslates, and if you have to pretty much transcribe the whole thing, that would count as messy."
