This is my cat, Andy.  I took him in as a feral kitten eight years ago.  He's been a great cat.  Sadly, he seems to have cancer in some of his organs - liver, abdomen, pancreas.  He doesn't seem to…Continue

I just posted a pic of Mom's cat Lucy in the very tree that was such a challenge to her previous cat Roger.  Lucy is the last stray Mom took in and her only remaining cat.  When Mom and I walk around her block, she is always on the lookout for another stray to take in.

Aleesha, Loki looks like a queen to me!  I haven't been here in a while, and looking at all the kitties makes me want to play with one right now instead of continuing on with my reporting work!  My mom had to call the fire department once when her cat got stuck in the plum tree in the backyard.  I hope you didn't have to climb too high to fetch little Loki all those years ago.

This is my kitty, Loki. She was a stray that I found stuck in a tree about six years ago. She has a crazy tail twitch, she's super sassy (darn tuxedo cats), and people always think she's male because she's quite large (probably a side effect of being the queen of the neighborhood).
My nicknames for her are not as endearing as Sweetpea...

This is Samara, or Sammy for short. She's my little sour patch--sweet and cuddly one moment, then vicious and feisty the next. She loves playing hide-and-seek with my husband and I. We love her to bits!

I have two tuxedo cats.  They always have such great personalities.

Janiece, Cassius is beautiful!  Now I want to see the brother!

And, Stacey, what a cute, intelligent face!  I'm a firm believer that we and the cats we are meant to love do come together somehow! Sweetpea has always been a pet name for all my animals - and my husband sometimes!

This is Sweetpea.  She was six months old when I got her, now she's just over a year.  She had been in this cage for four months and time was running out.  How could no one have taken her sooner?  The volunteer said I was the only person who had been able to hold her for more than a few seconds.  I didn't take her right away, I continued my kitten hunting at all the local shelters for the rest of the day, but when I got home, her face popped into my mind.  I looked at her picture again and it was a done deal.  She's turned out to be the most perfect kitten, everything I could have hoped for, which the sweetest disposition.  It's true, they pick you!
