You need to try to get to Mark Kislingbury's seminar in San Diego on April 11th or 12th, I think it is.
Go to Magnumsteno.com and check it out. He'll give you a group rate, so get all your fellow students together and carpool down there. It will help you out sooo much.
I hope to see you there!
Hey, is Mr. Eskew still teaching at Tri-Community??
I think I heard he retired not too long ago.
He was my "typing" teacher 30 years ago at Chaffey College.
Even with the higher gas prices you're still probably saving a lot by going to a community college! I've never taken a court reporting course online so I don't know how those work yet but I have taken a few law classes online from a school in L.A. and some general ed classes from another community college. I liked it, but you have to be really disciplined because it is easy to slack off or procrastinate. The classes I've taken use similar formats where you have required discussion posts each week, writing assignments and usually some sort of quiz and it's usually a lot of reading since you don't hear someone giving lectures. The law classes were really fun because we spent most of the time learning how to fill in different court forms and how to do legal research and whatnot.
Hi Eloise, wow driving to Covina seems like a far commute. Were you going to Sage College in Moreno Valley? I looked into them a while back but decided to do the online thing through Alfred State in NY. I hope online works out well for me, I've taken other non-CR classes online from other colleges and done well so I'm hoping the CR program will be a smooth transition for me.

I go to Tri-Community too. I'm currently at 140. Need 1 more test to pass into 160. Are you done with all your academics?
Great to see you here! I love this website! :)
