I sleep during the day, wake up and go to school and then straight to work four days a week. I practice as often as I can, which really isn't that much. Wow! I just read your blog post "Help Me Pass Unfamiliar Tests!" Great question. Thanks so much for posting that question because we all (meaning court reporting students) benefit from the answers. GOOD ONE! :)
How's it going, by the way? Did you implement any/all the suggestions to your blog post? Which one(s) worked best for you? I'd love to know how that went!
As I stated earlier, I'm a court reporting student too. I just got into the 180 speed, and I'm finding it pretty difficult. :P But that's OK -- another speed to conquer! ;) I'll definitely be using some/all the suggestions answered on your blog post.
Please check out my blog -- stenonerd.blogspot.com -- where I chronicle my court reporting journey from current student to soon-to-be working reporter... hopefully sometime in 2010 (just like you!).
I used to transcribe police reports, too. They were the best! Sometimes a bit much to take, I admit, but always interesting.
Hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D
