Linda, you may want to join brief club on this site. I go back through the discussions in that club when I have time and find briefs for words that I never even thought about. And if you're looking for something specific, you can find that there as well.

Linda, here are a few that I've found helpful over the years: environment, V-RT;
environmental, V-RLT; aircraft, AIRKT; aviation, AIFGS; regulatory, REG/TOER; FAA, FA*; insubordination, IN/SBAORGS; insubordinate, IN/SBAORT; dynamic, DAOI/NAK. Probably the best tip I can share is one I learned from Marty Fincun back in the sixties: Using the number bar to ID speakers in one stroke, i.e., lead counsel on right-hand side of table is 1234, fellow next to him is 1-6789, next to him is 2-6789 and 3-6789 and 4-6789; on the right side is 6789 and then continue on to 1234-6, 1234-7; 1234-8; 1234-9. Requires no thinking, just IDing of individuals according to seating at the table. You can ID people without knowing their names and fill in the blanks later. This method eliminates the usual two-stroke ID process and also takes the necessity to think out of the equation thus eliminating hesitation. I also have a great method of briefing long serial numbers as well as acronyms, if you are interested.
