Hi April,

Yes, I kept the fish. It's a Mahi and they're delicious when they're fresh. I caught that little one off Big Pine Key about 12 miles out on the Atlantic (Florida Straits) in January of '07. My husband is a charter boat captain but we don't get to Florida as often as we'd like. He fishes mainly on the Chesapeake Bay and in the Susquehanna River Flats. I'm spoiled since we've been fishing in the Keys about once or twice a year for the past seven years. I'm now strictly a warm-weather fisherwoman. We're going to Key West again in November for a week and I can't wait! Got any good fishing stories?

Hi, April: I am looking for a new proofreader on Catalyst, as I like to send my proofer a ZIP file and have changes made directly to my file. My current proofreader has gone back to work at a law firm and can only take my shorter jobs. Would you send me your rates, turnaround time, etc.? My e-mail address is lindseystacy@yahoo.com

Thanks!
Lindsey

P.S. I have a Malti-poo too!!

Ah, the Rasmussen Equipment case. Those were two of the ones I was very pleased with getting back! So how the heck does that work? She works for me, you work for her, she works for Peter. Seems like someone would be getting a very little slice of that pie.
Sorry to hear you're taken. I've had some very good responses though, so I'm sure I'll be fine. :-)

No worries. I had to let her go. Honesty and integrity is important to me in a working relationship. And ... I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to my work. Do you remember which job you did of mine? Maybe I could send some work your way???

April, That is too funny! Sue assured me that she never sent my jobs to anyone. I knew it!!! Thanks for you kind words. :-)

Hi April

I, too, am a former court reporter. I would like to get into scoping. Any tips and advice? Do you scope locally, online, or both? Any info you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Hello April, it is nice to meet you. I just came across your page and i love it. I will def. keep you in mind when I start finally working, which will not be for another year 1/2 - 2 years . . My grammar is okay, but I will def need another set of eyes to find the small errors that I will run right over. Your family is adorable. Keep up the good work. :)

Hi April
I'm a old reporter who wants to start using a scopist to handle my
overload. I use Case catalyst 8. Let me know if you're interested.

April, I have started a group for scopists who were formerly reporters in an attempt to make it easier for reporters to find scopists who have this background. You're welcome to join, if you'd like! The group is called Scopists/Former Court Reporters.
