What does everyone think of a virtual wine tasting? We will choose a wine, all buy it, and then open and taste it at the same time, all while running a discussion forum. If you like the idea, let me know and we'll set it up!

I like the virtual wine tasting gig, plus, add some chosen types of cheese to almost make a meal out of it,,,,!

Okay. I'm going to set this up. I'll pick a date. If you can make it, great. If not, should it be successful, don't fret; we will do it again. Looking for any suggestions for wines you'd like to try or share with the group. This should be about a 1/2 hour party. I'll schedule it for around 8 pm. Invite your friends. It should be fun!

I'm open to any wine. Although, maybe something that would be great for fall. Also, 8 pm in what time zone? This sounds like so much fun....tasting new wine and meeting new friends.

I concur with all of the above. Wine, friends, and cheese. What more could I ask for? I'm in.
A wine for the fall also sounds nice. I know Border's has a wine of the month, which is kind of expensive. But they have a four-bottle deal, which are wines for the season. It looks pretty cool. Also, Shiraz is super good *nudge, nudge* ;)

I keep forgetting about time zone differences. Maybe we should say 8:45 PM west coast time. That would be 5:45 PM in the East. I know both of those times aren't the best, but can anyone think of a better solution? I'm working on the wine. Look for an update this week. I think we'll schedule this the last week of the month on a Thursday evening.

I'm a master gardener and we meet on the last Thurs of each month. :( I also meet with another group on the 2nd Thurs of each month. If you chose the first Thur or the third, I could participate! Also, just to point out, this month has 5 Thursday, so I could do it the 4th Thurs this month because master gardeners will be meeting the 5th which is the last.

I understand you can never get one date when everyone can pariticpate, but just thought I would post to see if the 1st or 3rd would be agreeable to everyone else.

Glad to see this taking place. I'm excited. At this point, any Thursday is good for me, except possibly 11/5; but that could change, as well. Also, 8:30 Central time would be 9:30 Eastern and 6:30 Pacific. How does that sound? Since I'm Central, whatever y'all choose will be perfect for me. Although, who knows what zone I'll be in that particular evening, lol!
