Mine will only work for CC.  If you post what software you are on I'm sure the people that are on your software can help you.

I'd love to have them too.  I'm not on CC, but I have a heck of a time thinking up briefs for macros.

Keith and Janiece:

What was the discussion a couple of weeks ago?  I'm definitely interested in incorporating realtime macros/accelerwriters...any tips or suggestions would be awesome!!!

Thanks,

carrie

Keith, I have a whole bunch of realtime macros/accelerwriters I can send you.  I think it's scan/scan.  That takes you back to the most recent steno stroke and then you can define it.

Def/def and then you get a box that allows you to define steno on the fly.  Contact me if you want some of them.  You have my email.

Just seeing the discussion that took place a couple weeks ago; great suggestions!  I don't have all these macros and strokes to fix stuff in realtime (anyone got a good list ? -- something I want to tackle eventually).  So in CaseCAT,  that's the {Scan Define} that you are defining as SKAK, or is it something else?  So when you have that defined, you hit SKAK, then whatever the word was supposed to be, then just write the next word of the job?  That would be amazing!

In Case Cat, you can program a stroke (hot key sort of thing) and it will go back to the last untranned mistroke, no matter how far up and fix it.  You write the stroke for the hot key (let's say SKAK), then you write the mistroked word correctly, the software just replaces that last untran with the correct word as you keep writing testimony.  Don't know if I'm explaining this correctly but I believe all CAT programs do this.  I know my TurboCat did it over 10 years ago so I can't imagine any programs do not have this capability now.  I can't remember what I used to write.  I've been doing without it since I got onto Case Cat, but I'm trying to improve my realtime so I do need to start it back up again.

You can just write the word the SKAK to do the "fix" stroke in Eclipse.

I think I misunderstood your question.  I use the asterisk to correct the previous word.  The SKAK stroke scans back up through the transcript to the last untranslate and brings up the global window to define the term.  I then define the stroke from the steno keyboard.
