Good agencies recommendation for Southern CA

Hello Everyone,

I'm a CSR who has taken five years off from reporting to pursue the mortgage business. Things were great up until last year. I'm still in the mortgage business but times are extremely challenging right now. I have decided to return back to reporting for now. I have my first depo next week.

However all the agencies I've contacted are very slow and have no extra work, including the one I'm taking the depo for next week. Are there any agencies anyone can recommend to me that have work in the Southern CA area, preferably San Bernardino/Riverside/Orange County? Some LA County is okay too. I'm reluctant to work for someone I'm not recommended to by another CSR.

I have been scoping for other reporters for the past five years and just upgraded to CC8. Thanks!!

At the SoCal CSR Outing we just had, I overheard some agency owners say they needed reporters out in your area. Check here for those owners and their email addresses.

I've heard it's slow out there too. I think things are just starting to pick up, though. Depends on the agency, I guess.

Hi, Ann.

I won't post a bunch of names out here publically, but if you want to contact me directly, I'm happy to pass on some names of agencies who might need help out in your area. You might have to start off by working for a couple to few different agencies at first. Once they get busy and/or realize you're capable of turning in the work on time, etc., I'm sure you'll be busy in no time.

Yvette's correct -- don't limit yourself at all. Take EVERYTHING that's offerred to you and the rest (the good stuff) will follow.

In addition, if you're not offering realtime services, that's one thing you might want to start working towards. The demand for realtime is increasing in all areas of California, so that would help add to the types of jobs you can take which will then add to more days of work for you (and better money)!
