He does have a theory book! The Magnum Steno book is more an encyclopedia of briefs/concepts, but you can start with Mark's theory and continue on. I thought you had already learned Phoenix and was wondering if it was realistic to add in some of MS's concepts.

I'll let him or Tami (who taught the theory to her son) or someone else add more as to the theory book particulars.

Quite different. Thank goodness! But not impossible to use even if you were cursed with taught Phoenix. An open mind and the ability to change things in your dictionary without having a stroke are essential! I've heard a lot about how students are discouraged from changing the canned Phoenix dictionary. But it's okay! We all change our dictionaries all the time. :)

Sounds super! I like the "quick" word.

You know I'm going to want those realtime macros more than just a little at a time, though. :)

I'm really happy it's "here," too. BRA-HA-HA-HA-Ha . . .

(And my son thinks I don't know the difference.)

Hey, it's a good mail day. I received my Eclipse package, too -- three weeks late. :)

I'm just happy it's hear -- and a bit skeered.

I'm getting in late today. I just wanted to thank everyone that I haven't already thanked for all the happy wishes. Thank you so much!!

You sent me to my dictionary to see what I did, because I was sure I two-stroked it. When I saw how infrequently I use it, I decided to just keep on doing what I'm doing.

Little-word phrases are the best! You hear them all day long in conversation. If you just get those 2- and 3-word phrases into one stroke, you've cut your strokes down a lot! We learned a lot of those phrases. It's just horrible that newer theories have stopped teaching them.

Me too, Monica. I have to say, though, it doesn't come up that often. 12 times in my 3-yr-old dictionary. Easier to stroke it out than to learn a new brief used 4 times a year. :)

Today's briefs were fantastic! I have a them on a card to put alongside me in court today, and I think I will incorporate them with little or no effort. Really appreciate this feature of the video.
