Rumor that LiveNote will use the Bridge protocols to refresh on StenoCast ... 9 Replies

Anyone heard this?  I'm trying to find a moment to call someone at LiveNote and see if this is true.  That would be so great, if it's possible.Continue

Stenocast is very good at pointing the finger at someone else other than themselves.  I've experienced that a ton with them.  No surprise here.

I haven't experienced anything like that, and I edit quite a bit with my RT macros from my writer.  I am on Windows 7, though.  How frustrating for you!

Thx, Jenny.  Have you had any problems with your laptop buffering/lagging/hanging when editing on your laptop/writer while in a RT job?  Happens to me a lot, to the point where I'm afraid to make any edits. :(

StenoCast says it's Eclipse. Eclipse says it's my laptop or StenoCast. I'm on Vista. Is it Vista? I haven't had any problems with Vista otherwise.

You shouldn't have to change your settings for the COM ports, but when you're setting up on the job, just check them.  I don't know the difference between .2 and .4, but .4 is better.  It's worked great for me on my two all-day RT jobs a week ago.

Hi, Jenny.  Since I updated to Bridge 2.2.0.4, do I need to redo any of my real-time settings, i.e., COM ports, etc.? And could you tell me again what is different with .4 version from the .2 version other than it refreshes when you move off the paragraph.

I mean,  I could set up my system and try it out before the next job, but if I could get a quick answer, that'd be great!  Thx!

Found the Bridge update.

Where do I go to download the Bridge update?  I just go to the site, downloaded it again, but it's still showing that it's 2.2.0.2.

Kelli, I was told to use a powered hub for the Stenocast pod.  I've been using it plugged directly into my computer, however, because I'm using my powered Belkin hub for all my other USB needs:  Sound Professionals USB microphone, Mimo mini monitor, Eclipse key, flash drive.  My other USB port has my cable for my Infinity writer.

I'm using W7 too.

Well, I am using Windows 7.  I suppose Vista could be the issue, but I'd also download the new version of Bridge because I know there are a few good fixes in it.
