Rumor that LiveNote will use the Bridge protocols to refresh on StenoCast ... 9 Replies

Anyone heard this?  I'm trying to find a moment to call someone at LiveNote and see if this is true.  That would be so great, if it's possible.Continue

I tried to use my Stenocast RED on my job on Tuesday and it the computer started dinging and I looked at the RED and the lights were flickering on it, then it locked u my computer.  It seemed like it wasn't getting an electrical charge all of a sudden, but it was plugged in.  I had the RED attached through a hub, not sure if that's an issue or not.  Does anyone know if it is?

I ended up having to use cables instead.  Pretty frustrating.  I've had problem after problem with my Stenocast.  Once they have your $1000 you're on your own.

Then do you think my issue is Vista? The Eclipse tech suggested that might be it.

Glad you like the refresh macro, Quyen.  I'm using the latest version 5 and Bridge same as Jenny is, and I'm having no issues at all.  I also use Stenocast RED.

Oh, I have 2.2.0.2.

The latest version of Bridge is the one they have available for download, right?  I don't have to go looking for the upgrade?

I should mention I'm using the very latest version of Bridge as well:  2.2.0.4.

I'm having no issues at all with Version 5.0.0.21 and Bridge.  I have Stenocast RED.

That's great, Jenny.  I've heard, although I haven't looked into the fine details, that E5 has all kinds of issues.  Also, if you read my StenoCast post under the discussions on the main page, I'm even more afraid to try out the new Eclipse versions!  Ugh, :(

I understand that with the latest couple of versions of Eclipse - like 5.0.0.19 and on, there is an automatic refresh built into every paragraph.  So as soon as you are done writing that paragraph, it is refreshed.  In previous versions, any edits in the very last paragraph that was being written weren't getting refreshed and you had to use the retransmit text command.  One more bit of motivation to get on the latest version which is 5.0.0.21.

Hi, Laura.  I just wanted to come back and say THANK YOU for "Retransmit Text" command.  I use your stroke #*, and it works beautifully!  I love, Love, LOVE it and use it ALL . . . THE . . . TIME!!! :D
