XP???!!! Lol. I do have one spare that runs XP; I even paid extra money to have it downgraded, haha!
Oh. Then I can't help you. I have both versions; however, I'm still on XP. LOL I guess I'll pay attention to this discussion because I'm sure I'll be updating to Windows 7 in the near future.
I don't have a "User" folder and all the other files in the EclipseNT folder. How is that possible? I can open up the program fine. I even tried to start a job, but w/o my writer connected. Seems to work.
I'm setting this up on a spare, btw.
No. I'm still on 4. :D
Quyen, are you saying that you installed Version 5?
How do I navigate to the user folder on Windows 7? The folder does not show up when I use Windows Explorer. I like to have a desktop directory shortcut to my user files and working files, but I . . . don't know how to find the folder. I browse for it, but it's not even there. My path looks like this c:/program files/advantage software/EclipseNT,
The only two files I can see in the EclipseNT folder is changesd.txt and Ecl.exe.
Did I install it incorrectly somehow? I copied the CD to a flash drive and installed from USB.
Sorry for the million posts. I keep messing up.
Thanks!
Judy, if you write out your numbers (instead of using the number bar), you don't want to have that checked. If you are only using the number bar, you can check it. That shouldn't mess up the single-digit ordinals, though.
The Ignore Written Numbers was unchecked. I have no idea if it's ever been checked. I've now checked it. I'll see if that fixes my problem. Thanks!
I've never been on anything but version 5 and it works fine for me.
Let me see what's in my metadictionary.
Did you change anything under your User Settings, Numbers tab and check if you have anything besides No Values under Written Out and At Start for the Ordinals.
I used to have it defined as January{#N} but recently changed it to January{#G} thinking that might have been the issue. I still have the issue.
I think it's something in my metadictionary. It used to tran out perfectly, just all of a sudden it started tranning in words vs. numbers. I'm trying to think back if the change happened when I upgraded to v5.
