Yeah, so many things (conflicts) we learned to just differentiate by context, like that SIG for signify, significant, significance. That's exactly how I learned it.

I'm loving the Club. I think my husband is hating it, though. Keeps walking by and smiling and confirming, "Thought you were on vacation?" :)

UFRNL, I use -DZ for too many things. Even Wednesday is WEDZ. I'm going to have to give the did thing some though. I've always wanted something. It's cold and windy here. At least our only power failure yesterday lasted just a few hours! I bet you're cold up there!

"Could he have come"

That was a phrase in that stenotype book you sent me.

I didn't find anything on the inflected endings, wide keys, etc. I don't think they were using wide keys during that era.

Thanks for sending it to me. I thought it was absolutely amazing!!

I think my theory book had some of those same business letters in it. I know that not from 30 years ago, but when I taught Clay theory, I got out my old Herman Miller theory book and dictated the letters in my theory book to him.

Hopefully we're all getting back on track here!!

Thanks again, Brenda, for taking the time to send me that. You know I love anything to do with steno history!!

I know. It's so frustrating. I really think Mark K. is just getting everybody back on track, and then he's sending everybody on to the future.

I really think it's the dang captioning companies that sent everybody south in the mid/late 90s.

Did you do your free week of the Steno Club after the serminar??

I've hooked up twice.

I never used the "so that," and that stuck at the seminar -- finally. I knew about it before through Clay, but just never made time for it.

Clay really didn't learn one new stroke, but he did say Mark has a way of teaching that solidifies reasoning in your brain, which is so true.

Let's keep getting the word out!

I was semi-planning on going to mom's today so I could sing at Donna's church this weekend depending on my pain level, but I just found out that mom is going to have a guest staying in "my" room at her house so it doesn't look like I will be going after all. I'm really not up to it, but I was trying to force myself.

Yes, we got the Internet back last night. It was a major deal over here. I had to use cash at the grocery store. No one had ATM's working, etc.

I have a job I need to get out today, and am halfway done scoping - by voice, of course - another one.

I want to take another look at the whole phonetic untran/auto brief issue as well. I do have some weird things in my phonetic table that may be affecting my auto brief suggestions. I'm assuming you read one of Jeremy's posts yesterday. I must have a mental block about this, as I know we have discussed it before!

Good for Erik. I am impressed!

Oh, the dog that was at the depo? He made so much noise - scratching at the door, whimpering - that they let him in the depo room. He was very good once he was in there, and I couldn't even see him as he was sitting at the feet of the attorney. The entire office was trashed as there really are two puppies, but one was at the vet's. I don't like dogs around my equipment!

Brenda, I sure was taking my morning Internet fix for granted! Still don't know what I'm doing today SFRS getting out of town. What's happening with you? How did those jobs go with Erik? How's your dancing muscles???

Brenda, what a great page. I just found CRNation in the last month or so (thanks Jenny Griffin). Anyway, I haven't had much time to look around, but looks like you have!!! What a really cool page.

And I love Michael Buble, so thanks for that.

Hi, Brenda! Love those Peeps! I'm waiting at a depo - hope it's easy. They have a puppy here - it better not bark or howl!!!! I'm going to try to use ST-T today. I'll let you know! It's raining today - we still need it, but I was getting used to the blue skies! Hope you have an easy day - later!

are you feeling blue? Ha! I changed it to a sleek clean blue as an antidote to the pink/heart theme of the main page on this site!

I guess I just missed you here. I'm dictating! This afternoon I updated to Quicken 2009, but I'm trying to stay off the computer as much as possible. Right now it looks like I may have two jobs next week. We'll see what stays on. You never did post regarding the control one, control two, did you? I still feel bad about that. I think it would make a good post. More blabbing later, Jenny. Just about every time I dictate my name, I get Cheney! Must train my own name.
