Welcome to CSR Nation
Today it didn't matter what I did, I just could not write anything. My fingers were hitting the wrong keys. This rarely happens to me. I assume it's because I woke up at midnight and laid there for about four hours and couldn't sleep.
It was like I had all thumbs on my hands today. So frustrating. Anyone else ever have this problem where you just can't seem to get it together?

Oh, yes. I've always had many of "those days" If I didn't have sleep that would be a major reason. But it also seems to happen when I am thinking too much. Maybe my brain gets in the way. Sometimes I can't pinpoint why I can't write well. Hopefully, with a couple good night's sleep you will be okay.
Figures this job is a daily, too. It's weird; almost like my hands belong to someone else and not doing what I want them to do.
On nights where you haven't had enough sleep, it can definitely feel like your brain is short-circuiting the next day. I try to avoid working on too little sleep because it's so frustrating. Hope it's working better for you tomorrow.
Yes. For me it is usually because I need rest. It makes a huge difference. Sometimes it has to do with the witness and the attorney talking at the same time and I can't get a rhythm going. It figures it would be a rush. Sorry, Kelli. We've all been there.
EVERY DAY seems like 'one of those days' for me!
Yes - it's weird. It's like having boxing gloves on and trying to hit the keys! But I bet you'll be surprised that your writing probably didn't suffer much in spite of the flailing fingers!
Hope your next job is a breeze!
No, I bounced back. I've had these days before, like everyone has. I was just so shocked by my writing and I was giving it to a new scopist and sort of ashamed at how I was writing. When using a new scopist, you always want them to think you're worth working for. I did apologize for my writing that day. She seemed not to be phased in the least, which was nice. I did give her a job that was ten times more difficult the week prior and I wrote beautifully, so that's probably why she gave me a pass on this one. Whew!!
