Which Steno machine?

I'm in the market for a new steno machine and new computer. I'm not up to date on the latest technology.
I'm interested in Mira or Lightspeed -- don't think I can hold out for the Passport. I use Eclipse and currently have a Dell computer, but haven't been satisfied with the sound quality. Anybody had good experiences with hardware they care to pass on?

It's too soon to tell for me - the LS vs. Grand! I just got the Grand a few days ago, but it seems promising. Right now I'm bogged down with trying to locate a file to do the taxes - my office is such a disaster! Full of cables, writers, bags, extra computers. Well, if you saw my pic of my work station on my page, it's kind of like that! Even though that was taken years ago when I first got Eclipse. When I spend more time with the Grand, I'll be able to make some comment one way or the other. I'm glad you've got your writer in better shape! It is a huge expense and can be a huge time investment as well!
