Hi Everyone!
I am looking for fellow students in the Washington DC area who might want to start a practice group once or twice a week, since there are no schools anywhere in this area, I think it would be a great help! I am currently at 180-200, but I can practice with anyone 120 or higher. Any takers?
Also, if anyone in the Washington area is interested in attending a 5 hour multi-voice and depostion procedure class being given in Brooklyn,Ny on May16th, I am taking the train up to go and would love some fellow student company. It's free to attend and you can contact Anthony Frisolone on this website for details.

OH, that's great!! I didn't realize that they were recorded. I really didn't have any idea how it worked! That's good that you can be able to go back and review! Good luck with finishing up Theory II!

Hi Kelley: Yes, we are just about at the same place in our schooling. I would love to stay in contact with you to see how we both progress. As far as online with Phoenix--it can be challenging at times. I have such an awesome teacher, though. She's a real motivater. All the classes are recorded so we can access them as many times as needed for the classes. I feel like I have more instruction that way, especially with some of the lessons. I will done with Theory II at the end of May and then start Theory III in June.

Let's keep in touch. Rose

Hi Rose, how are you liking the Phoenix Theory online? I am pretty much the same level as you are. I go to Southwest TN Community College. Phoenix Theory is difficult in class so I can only imagine how it must be online! I had my final in Theory II last night and passed the class with a 91! I'm so excited! All this hard work is starting to pay off! I start Theory III this summer which as you know is basically briefs and speedbuilding. Good luck with your speed building!!! - Kelley

Hi Everyone: I am new here so I thought I would put my "two-cents" in. I am going to an online school that, I believe, is the best! It's the College of Court Reporting from Hobart, Indiana. I am almost done with my Phoenix Theory and will start my speed building next semester(June). Anyone who is considering or looking for an online cr schools really needs to check my school out. www.ccredu.com. It is awesome. Rose

Linda, if you're willing to drive to Fresno to Pengad you can get paper by the box for around $42 a 50 pack. My suggestion is to go in with a few other people and buy as many boxes as will fit in your car that way you get a discount. The more you buy the more you save. Pengad is right off highway 99 very easy to find. Takes about 2 hours from Stockton to get there. Hope this helps!

Go to Magnumsteno.com and join the Club for $29. a month. No strings attached, and you can join month to month.

Before doing any speedbuilding, you need to listen to Mark's 1, 2, 3 videos on how to practice.

I told a student in qualifiers who sat out with me last month to join the MagnumSteno Club, and she called me week before last and told me after joining the Club she qualified in one week.

Made my day!

Does anybody have any suggestions for any good practice material? I'm in my 160/170/180... and I'm having a hard time finding quality practice materials. Any suggestions are appreciated!

iTunes has a preview to their audiobooks. It's a different way to practice and build your dictionary. The preview is about 2 minutes. You can play it over as much as you like. Check it out.
