I was wondering if anyone out there in Missouri knows how the job opportunities are out there. I'm a student out here in Southern California and will be moving to Cabool, Mo. It's about 1 hour east of Springfield. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site as I see many of you are as well. This is great. I've looked at some of the comments and see that many of you are from different parts of the US. Is there anybody from Massachusetts? I'm a scopist now and seriously considering Court Reporting. I'm not sure how to go about getting started, and more importantly unsure of the need for CR's in Mass. I would love any information I can get. Thank you!

Start fresh with a new theory why??

What theory did you learn?

I think the old one is probably better than most of them out these days.

I think you'd be much better off incorporating new shorter writing concepts into the old theory.

Looking for online school. I am a voice writer (not happy with) presently. In short, started out in steno school, got to 180 wpm, needed to go to work (10yrs ago). I want to start fresh with a new theory. HELP!!!!! Any suggestions?????

My school is no longer offering the court reporting program as of Fall '09 and I need an online school/course asap. I am currently at 100 wpm and have learned Sten Ed theory. does anyone have any suggestions for online schools/programs, etc. so I can continue my studies?

Hi, I will be attending CR school in Tampa, Florida. Is there anybody out there that lives nearby. I went to CR school back in 1990 and quit do to certain issues. I was at approx. 185 wpm. I will be starting school in August.
