As far as the users group, I am currently the President and will be around in San Francisco.

I've been to quite a few of the seminars and they all bring out something new. With the latest release, 5.8, we gained all kinds of new and improved functions.

From the realtime perspective, the special features in translation are worth the trip alone. They allow accurate translation when only the root word is in your dic. You've got to see it to believe it.

There's way more than I can refer to here, so a trip to San Fran in Feb is in order or Dallas in Sept '08 which is where the next one will be.

You know, I am a member of the StenoCAT user's network that has that seminar, and that has been very helpful to me. I have never been lucky enough to attend one, but I would like to in the future! I haven't used the support line or anything more than a handful of times. I am sure there are a lot of things that would make my work more productive and I just learn them slowly, one thing at a time! LOL! I leave the little window on the bottom open a lot so that I can see what a lot of the strokes are to edit quickly. That has been a real help to me. You can reach me at 970-366-8455 or 970-876-2046.

So I see you are from California. I was born and raised there! My son is still there. He lives with my dad and goes to college. We are going to visit this May.

Hi Evelyn. I'm a StenoCat user and just received info on a seminar in San Francisco for the 28th of Feb through March 1, 2008. Have you ever been to one of these and how beneficial did you find it? I've never gone to any seminar, workshop, NCRA conference, etc., so this will be a brand new arena for me. I've been on StenoCat 10 years and have only called the support line, I'm guesstimating, about 20 times over that span of time so you can see how green I possibly am. Any feedback will help. What's the phone number I can reach you at if I need to?
