Welcome to CSR Nation
Lori and Toto have returned to Kansas from Costa Rica! I'm so thankful for all the time I spent on the organic farm - but I'm divorced now, and back to my maiden name - Lori Byrd ... and happy to run back and forth between the States and Latin America for work.
I'd love to find more work in Central and South America. My Spanish-speaking is a valuable asset, I believe, for running around Latin America and communicating with all involved in doing depositions.

Lori! It is so good to hear from you! I sent you a message. It is probably best to have a chat - there is so much to tell!
It's really cool that you have done work in Latin America! I speak Spanish too and lived in Brazil for a year. My Portuguese is rusty! I've always thought it would be great to take some international depos!
Are you talking about in Sioux Falls? If so, I would recommend Kerry Lange or Pat Beck. They're both excellent. We also have a facebook page for SD reporters. You could check it out. Let's keep in touch!
I'm an official in Sioux Falls and I don't take outside jobs, but as far as freelancers here, most everyone is independent. Kerry Lange has Dakotah Reporting, but I think it's just her and maybe one other reporter. We are an anti-contracting state, so we don't get involved with any of the big contracting firms. Hope this answers your question. Where are you now?
Did you ever get your LightSpeed? Was wondering what you thought. I bought one about five years ago and just couldn't get used to it. I wanted to try it again and was wondering what you think.
Thanks, Lori, for getting back to me. Things seem to be picking up in my area a bit, San Francisco. I was super slow about five months ago. I just hope it continues to stay steady.
Have a great weekend.
I was wondering if I could get some feedback from you about how the work situation is in Washington these days? Is work picking up for you?
