Hey guys,
I am starting school Sept. 29th at CRID online! I'm so excited. I read that people are looking for dictation. I've heard from other scopists and students to Google it and you can find free stuff! Just a thought...

Pass the word around. I'm offering an online tutoring program with StenEd theory at a very affordable cost.

Browse around the site. Drop me a note with any inquiries.

Thanks.

Is anyone here training for voicewriting? If so where are you receiving your training and how do you like it?

Hello.
Last night my instructor told the class about this site. I am in Theory II. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, helping if I can, and making some new friends who are experiencing the same things as me. I also " love it here, already" it looks like a lot of fun!

Here's a post from a student on the Depoman site. Thought it would help you, Mike:

I recently found out the first court reporting school I went to (West Valley Community College in Saratoga, CA) now has an online option through Stenograph's Online University. Since it is a community college, I only had to pay $100 to Stenograph for a year of access, plus a meager $48 to the college for a 1.5 unit class. I am using this to supplement the classes I am taking at the school I now attend. (approximately $1,000 a class). I am off for three weeks and didn't want to be off my machine and away from testing that long.

Hey everybody. I remember reading a while back on here that there was somebody who wanted to trade MP3's of dictation, but at the time I was not up to speed for their "140 and up only" request. Well I'm just about there now, so I'm hoping somebody can point me to some free dictation? :) Also, has anybody tried listening to dictation while driving or doing things around the house and visualizing the strokes as a secondary means of practice?

Hi,
I am starting theory FINALLY this fall. Just curious what are everyone thoughts on leasing vs. buying a steno machine for school?

Hi,
I am currently a student and am at 180 speed. I can't seem to get through it. Any ideas? I practice an average of 2 hours a day. Some days a little more when I have time.

Good morning, everyone! This is a terrific forum and I've already found a lot of help. I'm an online student at Court Reporting Institute of Dallas also. Like Tara, I'm also in my 3rd quarter and beginning speedbuilding. I'm excited to be here and look forward to interacting with all of you!
