I'm thinking my problem must be that I'm using a 64-bit operating system. Anyone using a 64-bit or are you all on 32?

Susan, are you using a Belkin on each end, one to your computer and one to the atty's computer? I tried it once and my Netbook crashed three tiems, as in screen went BLACK and turned off, something I'd never seen before. I have two Belkin USB to serial port adapters and was told by one person at Eclipse you can't use two and another person said it's fine for output.

Tarin, I use a Belkin USB to serial port to connect to a NetBook that runs Windows 7. I was advised to use the drivers for Vista and it works perfectly.

I just installed the Certified Hi Speed USB driver in my Windows 7 computer. I ended up going online to download the newest driver, and it works fine. Most of them should have the download available online.

IOGEAR has a Win7 driver available for download, and ATEN support has one they'll e-mail to you. I have both adapters, and they've worked well for me with Eclipse, though I'm not yet using Win7.

Hmm, so far I've tried a radioshack brand, cool gear, and belkin. I can't get the drivers to install for any of them ...

I bought one from radioshack that worked, but it seemed to disconnect a lot. The one I had previously did not work when I first had windows 7, but the company seems to have updated the driver because it worked that last, which is great but it never disconnects. I don't remember which brand it is. I think I got it off the internet or maybe it was a different radioshack model. Anyway, there are ones out there that work.

Has anyone found a serial adapter that works with Windows 7? I've tried three and can't get any of the drivers to install!
