Oh, yeah, I've been signed up for Eclipse e-mails for years, and haven't gotten them for at least the past four to five years.

Good lord, an Eclipse seminar in Maui.  How does anyone say no to THAT?!  That sounds very tempting, Julie.  I will look into it.

The email notification hasn't worked for me all year.  I relied on them to keep up with the forum there, and since I don't get them, I forget to check. :(

 

I'm a rebel -- I use those DVs!  I'm too impatient to wait. With Win7 and the option to not overwrite the last version, it's not such a big deal to dl the DV even if it's buggy because you can go back to the last one.  But Julie is right - if you don't want to risk problems, better to wait, at least until you see posts on the forum saying it's stable.

That's it, Christy. I wouldn't normally recommend using the dev version, but this is just a small update to 5.

You'll see! :D  It's GREAT, Quyen.  When you get your CD on your computer, one of the options is Auto Magic.  It is a panel on the left of your screen and all but does your editing for you.  Watch Keith's little tutorial that pops up after you install.  You will LOVE IT!

Quyen, if you don't want to wait for the CD, you can download 5 and then download the most recent update.  When you get the CD, you can still install it so you'll have all the videos and help files.  I'm a trainer, salesperson, former reporter.  I'm doing an Eclipse class in Maui October 8-9 for USCRA, if you're interested.  Info is on USCRA.org.

This is what I see on the website:

Total Eclipse 5.0.0.15 (development version)

Is this the update?  Or is still in development version?  I have signed up to get Emails but I never get anything about this kind of stuff.

The CDs are being sent out in batches by zip code, I think.  You can request it sent to you out of order if you request it.  Install it, and on the Advantage site, there is an update at the very bottom called Total Eclipse 5.0.0.15 (development version).

Just called Advantage.  I guess it has not been sent out en masse yet.  Mine is now en route via snail mail.  So after I install the CD, I need to go to the Eclipse site and download a patch or another small update?

 

Julie, are you an Eclipse beta tester/trainer?
