LeAnne, I've always used the double B when these words pop up :)
Comment by Janet on August 10, 2009 at 11:02
LeAnne,

I would double the "b" and add the ending. I checked dictionary.com. They have it doubled.

re⋅hab  /ˈriˌhæb/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [ree-hab] Show IPA noun, adjective, verb, -habbed, -hab⋅bing. Informal.
Use rehabbing in a Sentence

I've got a witness who keeps talking about rehab'ing a property. Would you use rehabbing or rehab'ing? Also rehabbed or rehab'd. I don't like it either way so I need another opinion.

I think the word is criterion. But FYI it should be criteria. Criterion is for one. Criteria is the plural. Also, are you sure they're saying "percipient"? It doesn't make sense to me.

I love that term, Brenda, "word nerd." That would be THE perfect name for a start-up company: "Word Nerds"

Hey, they got Computer Geeks. Why not Word Nerds? :-)

Don't delete, Rosalie! I saw it too and looked further as well. It's all good information. I didn't know there were two until I started looking this morning.

I'm such a word nerd, I enjoyed the history of the spelling. Thanks for posting that, Jennie! :)

Brenda, after I read it again, I should have deleted my comment, and realized it was wrong. Sorry.

Ah, okay, Jennie. For the generic use, listserve one word. Looks like a winner!

Rosalie, there are two different sites, ListServe.com and LISTSERV brand by L-Soft.

"the term is sometimes used incorrectly to refer to any mailing list server" is what is making me think list serve if it's any other list server providing the service.
