Well, I found the word. LOL! I googled and googled and googled until I found it. He was referring to a food supplier that brings food to the international airports, a company named Marché International.

I love Google! :>)

I am transcribing a job having to do with airport culture. The speaker references international food areas at the airports and referred to them as "marshays" [ph]. I cannot find the word. It must be something like a food court.

Brenda, no periods in md or phd? Yucky! But is it correct? Never mind. Don't confuse me. Oh, my, my little brain can't take it!

I usually don't put periods with my abbreviations either. For some reason I still use them with M.D. and Ph.D. Not sure why. Old habit I guess. I'll probably be changing that soon now that I realize they're the only ones I do it with.

I never use periods in US or USA, never have used periods in US or USA. Don't use them in MD either or PhD or FBI, CIA, or anything but Mr. and Mrs. and Dr. Just looks cluttered to me.

Ok, that just looks weird, lol!

My boss usually swears by Merriam, so will go w/that, although I want periods, lol. She's out of town on vacation.

I've always put periods and always seen it with periods.
