Well, let's just say I'm officially qualified for admittance into the unofficial club. Alexis, congrats on qualifying!! That is so great.

Magnum fans, I think I have the intel on the pistol that shoots rapid-fire steno. I have been informed it is a Smith & Wesson model 29 .44 Mag. And, apparently, I have shot it. Good pick, Monti. Very sleek!

Christine, the only qualifications to be in our unofficial Dorkie Mom Club is to be a Mom and a Dork...oops. Did I say that out loud? ; p

Tami, I think I just out dorked you today. And Trevor will probably agree with me on this one. Well, good news first. I passed my last 200 and am now officially in qualifiers! Then what do I do? I started crying and shaking like a blundering idiot. Geeeez, what will it be like when I pass my qualifier and then my CSR test?!?

Mark, do you have a seminar on controlling emotions? If so, sign me up.

Going to the Mark's seminar has really pushed me over the top. Since his March seminar, I have passed three tests and am now in qualifiers! THANK YOU MARK FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Yes, Christine, you'll never be as dorkie as me, but you definitely qualify to be in the unofficial "Dorkie Mom Club."

I'm so happy Megan's doing so awesome. She is such a very special person! I'm glad to hear she's working hard in the "Club." I know it will pay off.

So we're up to 39 members -- and I think I noticed one more dude, Tim. SUPER!!

Wow, this Club is going off!! Haven't been on for a bit and had a lot of catch-up reading to do.

Tami, I'm glad you like the photo. Thanks again for starting our little club.

Well, Veronica, to answer your question, the gun in this picture is a Ruger Vaquero Single Action with a 4 5/8" barrel in Stainless Steel.

And, Alexis, yes, it's a pretty big gun. Has a pretty good recoil too!

Mark, so great to see you here!! I don't know if I've shot the Colt Python or not. Do you own one? I really need to move to Texas so the gun collection could grow rapidly, unimpeded by the registration hassles.

Monti, I want to jump in on all the thank-yous. You really do an amazing job here and are so appreciated.

I may have to join the "Dorkie mom club." If you don't have a son, can you join anyway? Megan has 4 more tests to pass to qualify for the June CSR. She has been writing the Magnum Steno Club multiple times in a day. She's giving it her best shot.

The video Mark showed at the San Diego seminar was quite impressive. What an amazing machine God has created in the human -- and so adaptable.

Let's keep up the hard work -- and, oh, it is hard work -- but certainly worth it!!

Here's a good Python: There's a real nice one with great resolution, heading in the right direction, at www.jcdevine.com/images/auction_2806/08-157-007.jpg

Anyway, the original pic you have is great, so don't worry about it!

MARK!!! I'm so happy you signed on. What would this fan club be without THE MAN HIMSELF?!? Trevor will be so pleased to see you here.

Thanks Monti. I've never been referred to as a "Countess." I like it. We are an awesome group of Countesses, but we need more Counts. And your guns, is it me or are they getting bigger and bigger?

Six guys and counting...

Mark,

Monti came up with the gun idea. He really does an awesome job around here keeping everybody happy.

Like Kimberly, I appreciate your advice, too. She shouldn't feel bad about "having a hard time getting the dictation."

I don't think I've ever gotten anything clean when I'm doing the Magnumsteno Club, BUT I wrote lights out today thanks to the incredible PUSH I got from you.

I had a veterinarian who kept wanting to answer while the question was coming, zoming along on a little bit of technical material today, and the lying (extremely nervous) girlfriend trying to get her babies' daddy kept from going to jail.

She was FLYING. The deputy even commented later how fast she was, BUT after doing the Club last week, I didn't have to interrupt one time.

I was realtiming for a visiting judge I never worked for before, so it really felt awesome.

Thanks again, Mark, for everything you do for the common ranks and for joining the group. It's so unexpected, but totally appreciated. :)

Monti, any way you can post a Colt Python? They look similar, and they are almost always .357 magnums. I like Colts much better than S&W. If you look up prices, you'll see the Colts are much more expensive - they're better made and don't make them anymore.

Christine, you ever shot a Colt Python?
Comment by Tami on April 22, 2009 at 16:56
I think you need to ask Christine, Monti. :)

I need to fix the gun thingy, its apparently a colt..
is this a magnum?

might as well make it that it would make sense.
