Today I went to the gym twice, one hour on the bike and 50 minutes on the treadmill, 12 activity points earned today.

O.K. I'm starting out at 182. Today, I walked a mile and did pilates for 30 minutes. I'm on my way!!

So, I'm glad to be a part of this group. I've been good the last three weeks or so. Not eating any processed food. A little about me. I'm a health coach at my church and a part of the health awareness ministry, which I love. My 30th high school reunion is right around the corner (need i say more). The members of my health awareness ministry are preparing for a 'Daniel Fast.' This is a eating style as described in the book of Daniel. Basically it's a a vegan diet. So far I'm doing o.k., but i do miss my meat.

I have been on the Weight Watchers program before and lost ten pounds. What I didn't like is keeping track of points. I do okay for the first couple weeks, miss a weekend and get busy with work and family and, you know, life. I'm on the exercise track right now. Luckily, I have an exercise buddy. We play tennis twice a week and walk/jog the track at a nearby middle school twice a week, or at least that's the goal. This June we're taking tennis lessons at the local community college with a couple other gals from work. It's made a huge difference in my motivation having someone who wants to exercise with me. Even if all I get is lower stress levels, it's worth it. I will weigh myself Saturday and start this ten day adventure with you. Thanks, Jeanese.

Oh, by the way... Red peppers are very good in vegetable juices. It makes everything come together with their sweetness. I never knew...? You'll love your juicer once you start using it! It saved my life and my kids lives... LOL, if you know what I mean. It gave me back my mind and my sanity after having my sixth child two months ago.
